Job Creation and the Economy

Jobs

My economic philosophy is based on the principle that the individual – not the government – is the engine of American prosperity.  Hard work and innovations generated from small businesses are the backbone of our economy; and a robust private sector is necessary to fund the quality public sector services we all depend on, such as schools, police, fire protection and infrastructure.

I believe America's small businesses have always been the real job creators.  By cutting taxes and eliminating onerous regulations for small businesses, we can unleash the potential of the private sector and grow our economy.  The policies pursued by our current administrations in Washington and Madison will only drive up taxes, health care and energy costs and force Wisconsin jobs overseas.

I am committed to balancing the federal budget and reducing deficits. The consequences of government spending for bailouts, budget increases, bloated entitlements and ‘stimulus’ spending is staggering and unsustainable debt that will act as a dead weight around the neck of our economy and our children's economic future. The only way to ensure prosperity and freedom for future generations is for us to get serious about reigning in government spending and deficits right now.

While the damage done by Washington and Madison is significant, I firmly believe it’s not too late to turn things around.  With your help, we can bring fiscal responsibility and common sense back to government.
